AOGF encourages and helps Causes receive more donations through electronic means, which eliminates the time and expense associated with check processing. Here's how it works: Register for your Cause Profile on the Benevity Causes Portal. Sign in once your organization is approved.

Central to this ecosystem view is the Benevity Causes Portal, which includes a global database of almost 2 million registered causes.

Benevity has a transaction fee based revenue model, which means that when a donation is made, although donors receive a tax receipt for 100% of their donation amount, there is an administrative charge to our charitable foundation partners of 5-7% before the funds are distributed to the cause(s).

Rest assured that all donations are safely and securely delivered to vetted nonprofits. With Benevity, you have access to nearly 2 million organizations all over the world.

About Benevity. It makes it so easy to set up volunteering events in the system and organize fun volunteering events for employee engagement. Benevity operates on a monthly disbursem*nt model. All funds designated to your organization in a month are aggregated, processed, and issued in one payment around the last week of the following month. For example, all donations designated to your organization in May will be disbursed around the last week of June.

Benevity administers the Apple Matching Gifts Program. Visit the Employee Giving portal to request a matching donation for your volunteer time or to make a one-time or repeating monetary donation to the charitable organization (or cause) of your choice using a credit card or PayPal account.

While Amazon doesn't match donations from employees, the company offers a wide range of charitable giving programs. Additionally, employees can set up one-time payroll donations electronically at https://amazon.benevity.org/. See if your employer will match your donation!

Microsoft Rewards is an integration with Benevity that allows Microsoft Bing users to convert reward points into donation currency to be donated towards a cause of their choice that is sourced from Benevity's global database of nonprofits.

Every year, Googlers give their own money and time to causes they care about, which is matched by Google. Register your nonprofit with Benevity to be eligible to receive donations and volunteering support from Googlers.

Does Benevity send tax receipts? ›

Donations made through the Benevity platform are received and disbursed by our foundation partners. Our partners issue the appropriate tax receipt or donation acknowledgment on your behalf to both donors and corporations.

Benevity was founded in 2008 by Bryan de Lottinville, who previously worked as COO of iStockphoto (sold to Getty Images in 2006), with a team of four software developers.

Benevity provides a donation-processing platform that companies use to power their workplace giving, matching & volunteering programs. People use our software to find their favorite charities – charities like yours – and make donations, have their gifts matched by their employer, and volunteer.

American Online Giving Foundation, Inc. (AOGF):

Funds flow through the AOGF when USD donations are made to American causes. Tax receipts are issued to the original donor.

To be 'nominated' means a potential donor wants to see your organization added as an eligible cause within their workplace giving program. A nomination will trigger automatic invitation emails to be sent with the subject line, “[Client] Invites You to Register for Their Workplace Giving Program”.
